I haven’t read much about Type 1 prevention, but Omega 3 has shown some promise. What do you think about this study? http://www.diabeteshealth.com/read/2007/10/29/5512/omega-3-lowers-risk-of-type-1-diabetes-by-55-percent-in-high-risk-group/

I hope people do not confuse type 1 with type 2! Type one has nothing to do with diet and exercise

As I was helping Carl shovel snow off the roof yesterday, I thought of you and Connor and how soon he will help you with man-type jobs while Holly and Ella are making pies and painting. To be proud of how your life is turning out and the solid family you are!

OMG!!! How adorable! I remember that cute round face and all the drool! Look at how wet his little shirt is :) I am bewildered at how tan you are in this picture. It must be winter…you have heavy shirts on??? Very CUTE (both of you)!!!!

From the Department of Energy Website:

"According to the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, existing U.S. power plants could meet the electricity needs of 73% of the nation’s light vehicles (i.e., cars and small trucks) if the vehicles were replaced by plug-ins that recharged at night. Such a shift would reduce oil consumption by 6.2 million barrels per day, eliminating 52% of current imports."

So we are currently wasting all this power at night and a smart grid would enable plug in vehicles to use it. The transition would pay for itself — that much is clear.
